Nov. 24, 2008 (World News Trust) -- Please let me record that I am disgusted with "race" based
politics that is based on claiming other "races" are trying to harm
your "race," or that other "races" owe your "race" something and that
it will be your job to extract from those other "races" whatever you
claim is owed. I also do not like legacy kids getting promotions not
based on merit.
Ethnic groups (there is actually no such thing as "race" -- 96 percent of
African black slaves over the 300 years of slavery went south of our
border but we call them Hispanics -- "black" diseases are found in
"whites" -- it just comes down to village and skin color -- and
ultimately just village -- which we rename as ethnic) always will be a
bit biased toward members of their group -- but it need not be to the
point that it is the only thing that matters in giving your vote.
As a member of a group that only recently became "white" and was not
"white" when I was growing up (The eugenics movement to save the white
race, defined as Brits, Dutch, Germans -- Northern Europeans -- had a U.S.
law passed in 1924 to nearly prevent "non-white" immigration to the United States
and that law was not repealed until 1965. So I am "white" only since
1965), I understand prejudice more than most African Americans will
agree is possible, and I understand loyalty to your group, but I do
not understand, and indeed hate, the "race baiting" that is the Jesse
Jackson, Jr., way of politics and indeed was the Obama -- "Clintons are
racist" -- campaign method.
I guess I should be happy that the racist Woodrow Wilson, Theodore
Roosevelt, Emile Zola, George Bernard Shaw, Winston Churchill, the
corporate philanthropies like the Carnegie Institution, the Rockefeller
Foundation and the Harriman railroad fortune, and of course the Henry
Ford and Prescott Bush families of the early 20th Century, implemented
eugenics on this side of the pond via the "no "mix" marriage" laws and
immigration restrictions -- such a nice "breeding" approach -- when they
could have gone the route of their fellow travelers in Europe and
"culled the herd" via death camps.
Obama won dirty -- and we will all be paying for that "racist" approach for years.
We do not need Jesse Jackson Jr in the Senate.
