Cheesiness is next to Godliness. That's what my grandma always used to say, and she was a devout cheese lover.
She would make the most delicious cheese dishes, from macaroni and cheese to cheese soufflé, from cheese fondue to cheese cake. She believed that cheese was a gift from God, and that eating it brought us closer to Him.
She even had a cheese altar in her kitchen, where she would pray and offer cheese as a sacrifice. She was the happiest person I ever knew, and I think it was because of her cheese faith.
She taught me everything I know about cheese, and how to appreciate its divine qualities.
She also taught me how to make cheesy jokes, like this one: What do you call cheese that isn't yours? Nacho cheese! Ha ha ha!
I miss her so much, but I know she's in a better place now, probably in heaven with a big wheel of cheese. Cheesiness is next to Godliness, and she was the cheesiest of them all.
